On October 20, 2017, the OVAM Ecodesign Awards 2017 were awarded to students in the Budafabriek in Kortrijk during the Week of Designing. With this prize, OVAM rewards projects that have an eye for sustainability. A jury of experts and professionals awarded O2NOME the second prize in the "thesis" category. O2NOME was developed by Cedric Van Steenkiste that year for Oxypoint and in close collaboration with Oxypoint. Cedric received a cash prize and further guidance from Flanders DC, the contact point for the creative sector.
