Oxypoint was founded in 2011 by Dirk Borgonjon and Philip Hendrickx and aims to significantly improve the efficiency of Oxygen therapy in hospitals by making Oxygen-administering more comfortable for the patients while reducing the spillage associated with traditional Oxygen flowmeters. The company has sold its flowmeters to 20 hospitals in Flanders and the Brussels region and counts several reference hospitals among its user base. It currently employs 5 people and plans to double its headcount within the next 15 months.

Wouter has a broad experience in different industries with specialization in marketing, innovative thinking and strategy development. At Oxypoint he guides the upcoming growth and transition phase for internationalization and digitization as CEO.
Founder – COO
Inspired by the launch of tens of start-ups for the University of Antwerp, Philip decided to create his own spin-off company together with Dirk. Oxypoint was created while searching for possible improvements of oxygen therapy in hospitals.
Founder – Technical Manager
Dirk was chief technician at the University of Antwerp and University hospital Antwerp for more than 20 years. During that time he has assisted patients using oxygen at home. Out of interest, he started to develop oxygen dosing systems in his leisure time.
Niels Pintens, MBA

Niels is responsible for the streamlining of R&D activities, hospital studies, developments and IWT projects [IWT = Flemish Institute for the promotion of scientific and technical research in industry]. His field work (including hospital visits) gives him the insights required in order to steer the research and development activities, based on the user’s needs.

Cedric is a product developer with a fresh look at the case. He focusses mainly on the technical/human aspects within the market. This ranges from identifying specific market needs to generating innovative technical solutions.

Jorg has built up 18 years of multidisciplinary experience within the commercial branch of the MedTech sector. With this he brings a wealth of sales experience to the team. At Oxypoint, Jorg focuses on the further geographical expansion of the sales activities and directs the sales team to achieve the commercial goals.
