Econo-Comfort O2 flowmeter
The Oxypoint Econo-Comfort O2 flowmeter is a hybrid system with a comfort mode as well as a continuous mode.
The comfort mode concentrates the O2 dose during the first inhalation stage, triggered by the spontaneous breathing of the patient.
The comfort settings 1-5 provide a therapy equivalent to a continuous flow of 1-5 liters per minute (expressed in FIO2).
The continuous mode functions as a classical flowmeter.
Working principle of the comfortmode
The principle of the Oxypoint technology is simple: oxygen is delivered accurately during the first phase of the inhalation, which is the only phase that can be used for oxygen exchange in the cappilaries of the lung.
The pneumatic system doesn’t contain electronics or batteries and is triggered by the spontaneous inhalation of the patient.
Advantages of the comfort mode
Oxypoint strives for improved patient comfort.
